We’re a small, purpose-driven Canadian business born from a simple idea: teach our younger family members real-world business skills while building something that reflects our values.

From day one, we’ve committed to running Rowantree with integrity, transparency, and care for the planet. We know the fashion industry is flooded with greenwashing, so we hold ourselves and our partners to higher standards — sourcing responsibly, printing in Canada, and reducing waste wherever possible.

Our Eco-Responsible Approach

Made to Order
Most of our designs are produced only when ordered, which means less overstock, less landfill waste, and products made just for you.

Canadian Printing & Sourcing
We print the majority of our apparel in Canada — often in Quebec — using trusted suppliers with proven sustainable and ethical business practices. We prioritize Canadian-made garments whenever possible, supporting regional economies and reducing shipping distances.

Thoughtful Material Choices
For our B.C. artisan market stock and select online pieces, we choose fabrics and suppliers that align with our values:

• Canadian-Made Bamboo/Rayon from Jericho Clothing (Ontario): soft, sustainable, naturally moisture-wicking.

• Ethically Sourced Cotton from Canadian suppliers like Gildan (Montreal) and The Good Tee (Ontario).

Quality Printing Methods
We use direct-to-film (DTF) and direct-to-garment (DTG) printing for crisp, vibrant designs that last. Both methods let us print small batches and work with a variety of materials while minimizing waste.

Giving Back: Ocean Plastic Removal

Since July 2024, every $60 spent with Rowantree funds the removal of 1 lb of ocean plastic through our partnership with Ecodrive | 4ocean.
In May 2025, we took it further — committing to removing an additional 25 lbs of ocean plastic every month, regardless of sales.
